 Although songwriter Teddy Richards lives in Detroit, Michigan, he can be seen quite often in Europe. US media praise his distinctive voice and a spectrum of tunes spanning a range recalling the best of Lenny Kravitz and Seal. In recent years he was a sideman for stars like Joe Cocker, Ashford & Simpson or Natalie Cole at the legendary first Mandela concert in London's Wembley stadium, lent his guitar work to Mary J.Blige or Nelly Furtado at the VH1 - Diva - Galas and performed in the band of his mother Aretha Franklin. He started joint songwriting with Andrew Farriss, mastermind and keyboarder of INXS and Gary Clark (Danny Wilson) beside opening with his own band for The Verve Pipe, Fishbone and of course INXS. In 2004 he played a memorable gig at the Montreux Jazz Festival and the time was right to work on his own longplayer "Gravity", the starting point for his solo - career.
